District Nankana Sahib is situated at a distance of 50 KM from Lahore. As it is the birth place of “Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji” (Founder of Sikhism), this city has gained international fame. It is named as Nankana Sahib in honour of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Every year in the months of April and November the Sikhs from all over the world come to Nankana Sahib to perform their religious rites on the event of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji Birthday. In 1922, Nankana Sahib was given the status of Tehsil of District Sheikhupura. It became District in 2005 consisting of four Tehsil.

Pak Garrison established on April 10, 1997 is the only cadet and residential institute in Nankana Sahib. It is alternative to Cadet College regarding discipline, standard of education, facilities and results. This institute was affiliated with Lahore Board in 1998. During this short span of time, the students of this institute got enormous success in educational and extra-curricular activities. This institute made history by getting 1^st position in all Boards of Punjab.  On the request of the people of Nankana Sahib, the institute has started intermediate class in 2008. The institute showed excellent result in its first session and more than sixteen students got admission in medical colleges and 17 students in engineering Universities. Entry test classes started in 2010. In 2013, a great ceremony was held in honour of 125 Doctors, Engineers and Pilots. Gold medal and shields were given to those students who gave fair name to this institute.
